Guess what?! You can make your own beef jerky! And it’s easy!

We really hate those food blogs that make you scroll through tons and tons of text before giving you the full recipe. So, instead of doing that, here is the full recipe:

Spicy Teriyaki Beef Jerky

Ingredients

1 pound top round (you can use many cuts of beef, including bottom round, flank steak, skirt steak, or sirloin)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup mirin
1 1/2 tsp red pepper
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp garlic

Directions

Slice the beef into 1/4″ slices against the grain.

Place the remaining ingredients in a blender (we use (and LOVE) our Vitamix Ascent A3300) and blend until smooth.

Place the sliced beef and the marinade into a gallon plastic bag and marinate for 4-12 hours. We leave ours overnight.

Remove the beef from the marinade and pat dry.

Place the beef on a dehydrator (we use a NESCO Snackmaster Pro), being careful not to crowd the dehydrator.

Set the dehydrator to 160 degrees and cook for approximately 4 hours. Depending on your dehydrator, this time could vary a lot.

Enjoy!
